Family Friendly Workplaces

At Family Friendly Workplaces (FFW), we believe in elevating the success of families and children, and contributing to building communities that thrive socially and economically.

FFW runs the Family Friendly Workplaces Certification Program, which recognizes employers in St. Croix, Pierce, and Polk Counties who offer above-average family-supporting benefits. We evaluate an applicant employer’s benefits utilizing a Matrix developed in partnership with JA Counter-Alera, a benefits consultancy based in New Richmond with deep market penetration in our area.  

Our work is designed to strengthen our region's workforce and economy by:

1. Helping employers recruit and retain talent today;
2. Recruiting young families to move to our region; and
3. Supporting nonprofits working today to support children and families.

What Your Donation Does

By donating to support FFW, you are:

1. Strengthening the benefits families receive through their job.

FFW, through our employer certification program, is working to raise the bar on family-supporting employer benefits in western and northwestern Wisconsin. By supporting our work, you help us certify, educate, and support more employers in our area as they work to increase the level of benefits they offer to their employees and those employees' families. 

2. Helping make the local economy run better.

Our region's workforce shortage prevents us all from realizing the full potential of our local economy. This impacts employers, by constraining their ability to grow or maintain operations. This also impacts all of us, because it prevents us from fully realizing the full potential of our local economy. In essence, our workforce shortage causes us to leave money on the table.

By supporting FFW, you are helping all of us leave less money on the table, and put more money into the pockets of families, employers, and communities in western and northwestern Wisconsin.
