MISSION

Family Resource St. Croix Valley's mission is to strengthen children, families, and communities, by offering education, resources, and support.

PROGRAMS

Founded in 1998, Family Resource Center St. Croix Valley offers free parent education and support to families in Pierce, Polk, &
St. Croix counties. Family Resource Center offers a variety of programs that are based on the Parents as Teachers model, an internationally-recognized and evidence-based curriculum.

Baby & Me is a virtual play & discussion hour for infants & their parents. Babies can observe, interact & explore with other babies while parents connect with other moms & dads.  This program is in partnership with six hospitals as part of United Way St. Croix Valley's Success by 6 Initiative.

Home Visits offer individualized parent support & education while in the comfort of your home. Parent Educators provide
age-appropriate child development information, parent-child play ideas, developmental screenings & opportunities for parents to discuss various child-related, parenting topics. Parent Educators are also committed to helping families connect with other community resources.

We made1600 virtual and in-person visits last year to113 families!

Triple P is an approach to parenting that helps families build safe, stable & nurturing relationships. It is not about rules. It is about gaining the skills and confidence to handle all the ups & downs together.  Triple P’s positive parenting tools & tips have helped thousands of families spend more time learning and growing together, and less time dealing with stress & misbehavior.

ECE FAST [Early Childhood Education + Families & Schools Together] is a parent-child group connection tailored for parents & caregivers of children from18 months to 4 years old.  This program is facilitated by Parent Educators what partners with parents to increase their children's social/emotional well-being & learning readiness.

Parent Cafe's are a new program where Family Resource Center provides a physically and emotionally safe space where parents & caregivers talk about the challenges & victories of raising a family.

Young Parent program is available for any teen who is pregnant or parenting. In addition to home visits, young moms & dads can attend twice monthly group classes. The parent educator creates a safe, supportive environment for students to connect with each other about the day-to-day challenges of raising a child while still in high school. Students who complete all three components of the class – home visits, group participation, and written assignments – can earn elective credit toward high school graduation.
