Help RAISE THE ROOF for the HORIZON ROCK SHELTER!

Discover the Horizon Rock Shelter at beautiful Wisconsin Interstate Park.  Please help by supporting the giveBIGscv project, "To refurbish and repair the Horizon Rock Shelter"   All donates will be MATCHED!

The Horizon Rock Shelter was built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in 1939 and stood proudly for many years.  Sadly, a fire in July of 2021 burned the roof of the shelter.  

Insurance did not cover the cost to rebuild the roof and the shelter stands roofless still today.  

While Horizon Rock may not be one of the most popular locations in Interstate Park, it is no less spectacular.  The shelter is beautiful and the view of the river valley to the south is beautiful as well.  Many visitors have made special memories here.  To see the shelter in its current condition is difficult which is why the Friends of Interstate Park has taken on refurbishing and repairing the Horizon Rock Shelter as their 2024 project for giveBIGscv.

But they cannot do it alone.  We need your help.  Our goal is to raise $20,000 to help with finances.  Please make a donation to the Horizon Rock Shelter Refurbishment and Repair campaign during GiveBIG this year.  Your donation will return the Horizon Rock Shelter to its original glory.
