$5,000 Goal

Kinnickinnic River Land Trust (KRLT) is launching a fundraising campaign to raise the money needed to purchase a key 40-acre, old growth forested parcel of land in the lower river canyon downstream of the City of River Falls, Wisconsin. The parcel contains approximately 3,000 feet of river frontage and includes the mouth of Rocky Branch. The purchase will connect the River Falls School Forest, which has been landlocked for years, to Glen Park and River Hills Park. It will also expand green space, prevent development, and provide river access to multiple user groups.

What is the amount that we are fundraising?

  • During giveBig our goal is to raise $5,000.  These funds go towards supporting the land trust and projects such as the community forest, as well as improvements of trails, signage and stewardship of the land.

How will I be able to access the Community Forest?

  • A small parking lot will be created at the entrance off of Cty Rd FF with a ½ mile foot path to the property. There will be no public vehicular access.
  • Once owned by KRLT, individuals can access the property by foot through River Hills and Glen Park.

Where is the Community Forest located?

  • The Community Forest is located north of Birch Cliff development. Between Glen Park and the River Falls School Forest.

What are other ways that I can give?

  • Employer matching donations
  • By visiting KRLT website
  • Sending checks directly to the KRLT office.
