Our Neighbors' Place Inc

Our Neighbors' Place is a leading social service provider in St. Croix and Pierce counties, delivering positive outcomes for clients in need of respite, food security, clothing, housing, and a variety of other services.  

We provide assistance through 4 primary programs:

1.) DAY CENTER   The Day Center connects guests with service referrals, housing counseling, and advocacy - offering those neighbors struggling to meet their basic needs with a safe refuge during the day.

In 2022, the Day Center had over 3,500 points of contact (phone calls and in person visits) from individuals and families needing help.

2.) THE CLOSET  Our volunteer-run secondhand store is open to the public and supports our clothing voucher program.  Providing over 850 clothing vouchers in 2022 to our guests, this program is entirely self-supported by shoppers and donations.

3.) BACKPACK PROGRAM   Nutritious, kid-friendly groceries are sent home with kids (K-12) whose families are experiencing financial hardship in the River Falls School District.  Distributing over 16,000 pounds of food annually, this program serves an average of 120 hungry children each week. 

4.) TRANSITIONAL HOUSING  Provides families with affordable housing and professional case management for up to 2 years, allowing them time to stabilize and overcome their barriers to permanent housing.  Since program inception in 2016, our transitional housing has been a bridge from homelessness to permanent, stable housing for 18 local families.

• $59 provides one night motel voucher to get someone out of the cold
• $100 provides RFMU heat and electric for one month at our Transitional Housing apt
• $375 provides a years worth of backpacks to feed a hungry child
