Hunger is HERE.  Please help us provide 6 million pounds of fresh and healthy food to our neighbors in need.

The face of hunger is evolving.  It could be your neighbor or one of your children's friends from school & you don't even know it. Food insecurity is growing in Western Wisconsin.  9,800 households are projected to be food insecure . That means we need to double the food being distributed to meet the growing need in our communities, especially our rural and hard to reach communities where poverty levels are high.  

In 2023 we currently distribute fresh, healthy food to 56 hunger relief partners (pantries, backpack programs, shelters, mobile pop-ups, and homebound deliveries) in Pierce, Polk, St. Croix, and Burnett counties.  

         Meet Connie who is 74, has diabetes and lives in low-income senior housing in Burnett County.  She works 10 hours a week at the Casino because she does not receive enough money from social security.  She struggles to meet her rent and grocery expenses.  Connie relies on one of our mobile pop-up pantries for her produces because of rising food costs at her local grocery store ($9.00 for a bag of Cuties). 

There are many low-income, working families in our rural communities facing the same challenges as Connie.  We need your help to grow and deliver 6 million pounds of food to western Wisconsin  - please know that every gift counts. Our commitment to delivering fresh and healthy food is unwavering. With funds raised from the St. Croix Valley Give BIG, we will continue to grow this goal.  A key area that we will work to grow is delivering healthy and farm fresh food to our neighbors!
