How You Help Us Change Lives

When everyone pulls together in their areas of strength and applies even a small amount of faith, mountains can be moved. Wild Rivers Habitat for Humanity (WRHFH) has witnessed this many times since our affiliate’s beginnings in 1997. Across the years we have been in operation, we have witnessed members of our communities pull together from all faiths and neighborhoods around a simple call to help hard-working families have a simple, decent, and affordable place to call home. We take our mission of eliminating poverty housing very seriously; not only as we build new and renovate existing homes, but as we advocate for just practices that will assist members of our community who need that hand up to sustain themselves. As part of the global movement of Habitat for Humanity International, we celebrate that this same mission is being accomplished on continents across the world, impacting over 1.75 million people.

At Wild Rivers, for every hour and every dollar that you commit to our mission, we pledge ourselves to monitor and evaluate our processes to best leverage these resources for the deepest impact for those between 30-60% of the median income, making safe shelter a matter of conscience and practice. Throughout our history, your time and donations have gone towards completing 47 new home construction projects, repairing and rehabbing over 400 homes, and saving over four million pounds of gently-used items from landfills through our ReStore and putting them back into the hands of families and other neighbors in our communities. This year, we are looking to partner with two families for builds in Burnett and Washburn Counties. In addition, we are launching numerous other programs to help those in need without building new homes, such as our Home Energy Efficiency program, a tool lending library, and skill labs.

But we can’t do it without faithful supporters like you. We are grateful for your time, your prayers, your efforts and your donations. Together we are Habitat. Together we build. Together, we can move mountains.

In partnership,

Jennifer Johnson
